Star Atlas

Star Atlas is a permanent public artwork embedded in the ground. Bai overlays a star-map-like structure with the site’s buildings, paths, and plot to create a ground pattern that responds to its layout. Copper, black marble, and stainless steel form a composition extending over sixty metres. Its overall configuration can be recognised from above, while walking through it brings viewers into contact with separate nodes, rings, and trajectories.

《星图》是一件嵌入公共空间地面的永久作品。柏志威将星图式结构与现场的建筑、道路和地块平面叠合，形成回应场地布局的地面图形。铜、黑色大理石与不锈钢构成超过六十米的图案；从高处可以辨认整体，行走其中时则不断遇到被分开的节点、环线与轨迹。
