M Goi Jau Lok

M Goi Jau Lok began with a commission to make an image-based work about Shenzhen. Bai retraced a minibus route he had often travelled as a child, letting personal memory guide where he stopped to photograph and record. Roads, shopping centres, and public facilities along the route had been replaced or renamed, bringing remembered places into contact with the present-day city. Photographs, moving images, and field recordings are brought together in suspended lightboxes and video displays. Moving among them, viewers encounter the city in fragments, separated and partly obscured.

《唔该有落》源于一次关于深圳的影像创作委托。柏志威回到童年经常乘坐的一条中巴路线，以个人记忆决定在哪里停留、拍摄和录音。沿途道路、商场与公共设施已被替换或重新命名，熟悉的路线成为个人记忆与当下城市相遇的地方。摄影、动态影像与田野录音被组织为悬挂的灯箱和影像，观众在其间移动，逐步看到被分隔和遮挡的城市片段。
