SIGNAL centres on a meditating figure rendered in an 8-bit visual style, bringing Bai’s early memories of video games and electronic imagery into contact with his later experience of meditation. Using a modular synthesizer and custom software, he generates sound and images in real time and records one session. This recording is then presented through large-scale multichannel projection and sound, giving a single generative session a spatial form that viewers can experience together.

《SIGNAL》以一个被处理为8-bit像素形象的禅修人物为核心，将柏志威早期对电子游戏与电子图像的记忆，同后来的冥想经验连接起来。创作时，他以模块合成器与自编程序实时生成声像，并将其中一次运行结果录制下来。展览通过大尺度多通道投影与声音播放这段记录，将一次生成过程转化为可被共同观看和聆听的空间经验。
