Interval consists of a series of lightbox installations and a video work with sound. It is an early work in which the artist explores the relationships between images, symbols, and the perception of time and space. Symbols and diagrams drawn from astronomy, geography, and mysticism are dismantled and reconfigured, then layered with still and moving images filmed at an amusement park.

The lightboxes suspend the images as continuously illuminated fragments, while the video introduces movement, rhythm, and sound. Visual materials drawn from different sources, scales, and temporalities are spliced together in space, producing a science-fiction landscape situated between cosmic imagination, mechanical motion, and everyday experience.

“Interval” refers both to the physical distances between the installations and to the ruptures between stillness and movement, reality and imagination, the known and the unknown. By connecting these gaps without fully resolving them, the work reorganizes the act of viewing and reveals reality as unstable, unfamiliar, and bordering on nothingness.
